An art exhibition honoring the Nike Air Force 1 during Miami Art Basel.

For Miami Art Week, Nike came to SSS to produce an art show celebrating and cementing the cultural impact of the Air Force 1 in partnership with curator Easy Otobar of Anthony Gallery. The exhibition featured 20 works spanning a variety of art mediums by both emerging and established artists. All of the pieces curated for the show featured the iconic Nike silhouette.

SSS also worked alongside the Department of Nike Archives to showcase archival and never-before-seen samples of Air Force 1s made in collaboration with various artists throughout time. These included Virgil Abloh, KAWS, Stash & Mr. Cartoon, among others.

SSS created the visual identity, developed the spatial design, and managed the on-site fabrication and production of the show, which ran for three days during Miami Art Week. The weekend included an opening event and cocktail hour, a raffle for a limited-edition pair of Air Force 1’s designed by Michael C. Thorpe, and a panel discussion between Otabor, Aya Brown, and Jacob Rochester, with moderator Danny Baez.
