A virtual venue for the Nike community to connect and co-create with athletes*, creatives, and more.
Nike's mission is to bring the experience of sport to every athlete* in the world. When that plan hit a roadblock with the pause of IRL activations in 2020, Nike recognized the importance of creating an ongoing space for digital experiences and tasked SSS with developing this platform. The result was STUDIO:NYC, a digital home for NYC brand activations.
This virtual venue offers reoccurring programming and countless opportunities for interaction and exploration through workshops, games, shareable assets, artist collaborations, Nike platform integrations, and more. Events like "Grow Your Own Food" with Vianca Lugo of Farm School NYC provide the Nike community with opportunities to connect and learn new skill sets through a Nike lens.
The site's design was inspired by Dream Machine (1936), a concept drawing for a small cinema by Bauhaus professor Herbert Bayer. STUDIO:NYC has the look and feel of a physical, tunneled theater space, making the site feel impactful and exploratory while maintaining a direct and straightforward user journey. The site was designed for desktop and mobile.
