A tournament finale during the Olympics in Paris’ 18th for the best up-an-coming 1v1 hoopers in the world.

The One Finals was the culmination of a series of 1v1 tournaments that happened globally, hosted by Jordan Brand. For the finals, Jordan Brand challenged us to create an event that would resonate with the heart of Paris, running parallel to the spectacle of the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony. But instead of trying to compete with the theatrics of the global stage, Jordan wanted something real—an authentic, community-driven experience that would honor the 18th arrondissement and the young hoopers who had traveled from across the globe to compete.

While the world focused on the Olympics, we zeroed in on showing up for the 18th. Our approach was to bring the streets of Paris inside, remixing construction elements like scrim and scaffolding to create a dramatic backdrop for basketball. We took over the Elysée Montmartre—a space that embraced Parisian architecture and provided a weather-proof, indoor setting. The final design stayed true to the essence of the 18th, with graphic treatments and materials that reflected the local culture.

Beyond the design of the court itself, we also created an immersive tunnel entry moment, accented with orange lighting, portraits of hoopers from different regions, and a mirrored headline selfie spot. The court and screen designs, anchored by the ‘Our Turn’ headline, showcased Jordan’s signature colors. The marketplace, with scrim backdrops and varied graphic styles, paid homage to local vendors, adding an authentic layer to the experience. Lighting design by Matiere-Noire, under our creative direction, further amplified the event's energy.

Notable guests like Spike Lee and Rema, along with Jordan ambassadors Zion Williamson and Chris Paul, added star power to the event, making The One Finals a true celebration of community, culture, and competition. The event was a success, garnering press with headlines like ‘Jordan Brand Overshadows Olympics in Paris With Hoops Event’. But it was more than just a basketball event—it was a moment for Paris, the 18th, and the next generation of hoopers.
